This is a natural gap in the rock, in the center of the Minoan peak sanctuary. Obviously it is directly related to the ceremonial activities that took place here, as it was filled with votive offerings. Right next to it an altar was built. The gap has been explored to a depth of 10,5m. but its bottom has not been detected.
